2010 Korean Government Scholarship Program for Adoptees

NIIED(National Institute for International Education) which is a government organization affiliated with the Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology offers a scholarship program for international graduate students including Korean Adoptees.

1.  Total number of Applicants for Selection : 600 persons

Θ Korean Embassy(Consulate) : 365 persons
Θ Korean University : 200 persons
Θ
Overseas Korean Adoptee : 35 persons


2. Applicable Universities and Fields
 
Θ Universities : 61 universities(or institutes) designated by NIIED
Θ Fields : All majors of general graduate schools
Θ Course : Master’s program, Doctoral program and Integrated Master's & Doctoral program
 
3. Scholarship Duration(Sep 1st, 2010~)

Θ Master's : 3 years (1 year of Korean language course & 2 years of master's course)
Θ Doctoral : 4 years (1 year of Korean language course & 3 years of doctoral course)
Θ Integrated Master's & Doctoral : 5 years (1 year of Korean language course & 4 years of Integrated Master's & Doctoral course)


4. Selection Schedule

Θ Recommendation deadline : May 14, 2010
Θ Final selection by NIIED : by June 30, 2010
Θ Result notice : by July 10, 2010
Θ Entry to Korea : from August 25, 2010 to August 30, 2010
Θ Korean language course or graduate school : starting from September 1, 2010
