KAS Supports Adoptees And Their Familiesfor Their Rights And Interests to be protected
□ Korea Adoption Services held “2017 workshop on strengthening practitioners’ capacity” for two days at Kyeryong Spatel in Daejeon, starting on November 30th. 70 attendants, including practitioners and post-adoption service workers, took part in the workshop.
Adoptees, adoptive parents, and a biological mother presented their cases and shared their perspectives on adoption. The workshop introduced and discussed “post-adoption counseling manual” and “case management framework”, both developed in 2017. The workshop also offered suicide-prevention education targeting transnational adoptees in crisis. The workshop ended in great success with an active participation and positive feedback from practitioners.
