Website Terms of Service

Chapter 1 General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of members, as well as other necessary matters, in connection with the use of all services (hereinafter referred to as the “Services”) provided by the National Center for the Rights of the Child.
Article 2 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)
  1. The National Center for the Rights of the Child shall post the contents of these Terms on the initial screen of the Service so that members can easily review them.
  2. The National Center for the Rights of the Child may amend these Terms within the scope that does not violate relevant laws, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Framework Act on Electronic Commerce, the Electronic Signature Act, and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
  3. If the Terms are amended, the National Center for the Rights of the Child shall notify members of the effective date and reasons for the amendment by posting them together with the current Terms at least seven (7) days prior to the effective date. In cases where the amendment is unfavorable to members, additional notice shall be provided through electronic means such as email or consent pop-ups at login.
  4. The National Center for the Rights of the Child provides Services on the condition that members agree to these Terms. If a member agrees to these Terms, all service provision and usage shall be governed by these Terms.
  5. If a member does not expressly indicate refusal within seven (7) days after being notified of amended Terms, the member shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
  6. If a member does not agree to the amended Terms, the National Center for the Rights of the Child may not apply the amended Terms, and the member may terminate membership.
  7. Matters not stipulated in these Terms or the interpretation thereof shall be governed by relevant laws and generally accepted practices.
Article 3 (Definitions)
The definitions of terms used in these Terms are as follows:
  1. Service: All services related to the National Center for the Rights of the Child that members may use, regardless of the device used (PC, smartphone, or other wired or wireless devices).
  2. Registration: The act of completing a service use agreement by submitting required information through the application form provided and agreeing to these Terms.
  3. Member: A user who enters into a service use agreement with the National Center for the Rights of the Child by agreeing to these Terms and uses the Services.
  4. ID: A combination of letters and numbers selected by a member and approved by the National Center for the Rights of the Child for identification and service use.
  5. Password (PW): A combination of letters and numbers selected by the member to verify identity and protect personal information.
  6. Withdrawal (Termination): The act of terminating the service use agreement.
  7. Post: Any information such as text, images, audio, video, files, or links posted by a member through the Service.

Chapter 2 Establishment and Termination of Service Agreement

Article 4 (Establishment of Service Agreement)
  1. A service agreement is established when an applicant agrees to these Terms, submits a registration request, and the National Center for the Rights of the Child approves the request.
  2. Consent to these Terms is indicated by selecting the “Agree” button during registration.
  3. The National Center for the Rights of the Child may deny registration if the applicant:
    1. Previously lost membership under these Terms (unless re-approved).
    2. Uses another person’s identity.
    3. Provides false information.
    4. Interferes with or misuses the Service.
    5. Uses the Service for illegal activities.
    6. Is under the age of 14 without legal guardian consent.
    7. Otherwise violates applicable requirements.
  4. The National Center for the Rights of the Child may request identity verification depending on member type.
  5. Approval may be deferred if technical or operational issues arise.
  6. If approval is denied or deferred, the applicant will be notified in principle.
  7. The agreement becomes effective when registration completion is displayed.
  8. Members may withdraw from membership at any time.
Article 5 (Protection of Personal Information)
The National Center for the Rights of the Child strives to protect members’ personal information in accordance with applicable laws. Personal information is handled according to the Center’s Privacy Policy. This policy does not apply to linked external sites.
Article 6 (Management of ID and Password)
  1. Members are responsible for managing their ID and password and shall not allow third parties to use them.
  2. The Center may restrict use of an ID if it poses a privacy risk or violates public order.
  3. Members must immediately notify the Center if unauthorized use is detected.
  4. The Center is not responsible for damages caused by failure to follow instructions.
  5. Members must log out after using the Service. The Center is not liable for damages caused by failure to log out.
Article 7 (Notice to Members)
  1. Notices may be provided via email unless otherwise specified.
  2. Notices to all members may be posted on the website for at least seven (7) days.
